I was traveling in Morocco, exploring the markets in Marrakech for inspiration, Hidden deep within the winding streets of the marketplace I found an ancient bathhouse, the hot springs there are legendary. People told me stories, said the water could cure the body, rid it of evil spirits. I spent hours there listening to the sounds of the world around me. It was on that trip that I made my first Sugar Scrub. I went home to California to start work on a new idea. By discovering a way to replace oil with syrup, I created a silky texture unlike any other sugar scrub. My friends told me, " It has turned my skin to silk". DIANA B. was born.

I have always loved beauty products, make-up and perfume. I would sit as a child studying my mother and sisters as they transformed themselves, washing their faces, applying mysterious creams and potions then lovingly putting on make-up.
I was dazzled. I loved to watch my dad shave, I was amazed by his concentration. I created Green Tea Desert Grapefruit for my father, mornings before school he picked grapefruit from the backyard tree for me. I still love that childhood memory.

Later when I went to Tokyo, I learned the ritual of the Japanese bath. Serene. Minimal. Pure. Subtle fragrances and natural elements. Cedar wood tubs, mineral and sulphur hot springs, ferns, cherry blossoms and scrubbing. I absorbed a new culture of ideas and rituals.

I have a great responsibility in DIANA B. When I see improvement in someone's skin they always become more confident. I have been asked to define my philosophy. I believe in offering more than what is required. That is what I have always been looking for, a genuine quality that cannot be duplicated.
